I have a Bachelor’s Degree and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. My Postdoctoral education at the University of Washington focuses on Engineering Education methods including research on STEM outreach activities for community education and college student empowerment.
I am fortunate to have performed research in several fields including heterogeneous catalysis during my Ph.D. I have taught at different levels including college freshmen in Mexico, G.E.D. students in U.S. federal prisons, and as a T.A. and guest lecturer for several chemical engineering courses.
As an educator, I hope to inspire prospective engineers with accessible and equitable teaching styles while challenging my students to consider design solutions that go beyond profit optimization.
